The Pocadventure Adventure Triathlon

A great competitive way to see the 8000+ acre Pocahontas State Park. Grab your mountain bike, kayak and trail shoes as we have an exciting course for your! Plus proceeds from our race goes towards building more incredible trails at the Park!!

THE RACE

Our 23 mile adventure triathlon is broken into

• Mountain Biking(13 Miles) - FIreroad & Single Track
• Kayaking/SUP(4 Miles) - 2 mile out and back on Swift Creek Lake
• Trail Running(6 Miles) - out and back loop of Lakeview I

The course uses a large section of the 8,000 acre Pocahontas State Park between Swift Creek Lake and Beech Road. The terrain will go from fast fire roads to flat water to technical single track. We've got your off road menu all laid out! Oh.... and you can go SOLO or build your TEAM.

RELAY TEAM : 2-3 Members: Each member doing a leg. If you do a 2 member team, someone gets Double Duty! Overall.. but we reserve the right to create categories pending participation to keep it interesting!

ADDING More excitement to racing in the Virginia State Parks!!

Virginia State Parks (VSP) and Appalachian Power have created a fun and exciting series combining 11 weekends of wildly different outdoor races held in state parks. Events vary from a 5K run to a 65.2-mile triathlon and include adventure races, mountain bike and cyclocross races, sprint triathlons, a 13-mile kayak run, half marathons and everything in between. Unlike most racing series, winners are decided by total points accumulated during the series. Points for each race or leg of a race are based on mileage and difficulty of each race. READ MORE....

How does it work?
When you register, Facebook and Twitter share links on your registration confirmation page will be updated to include a referral code that will credit you as the referrer. The registration confirmation email you receive will also contain a unique link that you can share to gain referral credits.
