Culpeper July 4th Freedom 5k

This year’s race supports the Museum of Culpeper History, helping preserve and share the stories that shaped our community and our nation.

Early registration has ended, but there's still time to secure your spot!  Registration is now $40 for individuals or $35 per person for groups of 5 or more.  A limited number of race shirts and exclusive Minutemen finisher medals are still available—don't wait, as supplies are running out. Freedom 5k Participants

We’re looking forward to celebrating America 250 with you at the Freedom 5K this Saturday! Thank you for registering. Here’s everything you need to know before race day.  If your plans have changed and you are no longer able to participate but would still like to receive your shirt and medal, you must make arrangements to pick them up before Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Start/Finish Line – Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA

Race Schedule

7:00–8:00 a.m. – Packet pickup (bib, shirt, and medal*)

8:20 a.m. – Please be at the starting line.

8:30 a.m. – Freedom 5K begins.

Approximately 9:45 a.m. – Awards ceremony.

*Participants who registered before June 15 are guaranteed a race shirt in selected size and medal.

Parking

Please park in the church parking lot or in one of the two Town parking lots across the street.

Race Day Tips

It's going to be HOT! Please hydrate well before the race and run or walk at a pace that is safe for you.

A water station will be located at the entrance to Yowell Park, which you'll pass twice during the race.

Restrooms are available at the church, and signs will help direct you.

After you finish, follow the signs to our indoor cooling area, where you can cool down and enjoy snacks.

Course Safety

The Culpeper Town Police will be assisting along the course, but roads will remain open to traffic, so please use caution and follow the directions of volunteers and officers.

After crossing the finish line, please do not cross back through the finish chute, even if you're going back to encourage another participant.

Stay and Celebrate!

Be sure to stop by the finish-line photo booth and check out information highlighting Culpeper's important role in the American Revolution.
