Danville's Walk to Benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library 
A 9/25 Celebration of Literacy!

Tumble outta bed and put on your biggest hair, your sparkliest outfit, and your best attitude, because Danville is hosting a 1-mile fun walk to benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library THIS MONTH!

In honor of a certain Iron Butterfly, we’re hosting a 1-mile charity walk to celebrate and promote literacy for all. All proceeds from the walk will be donated to the Imagination Library, an organization founded in 1995 to put books into the hands of children everywhere, in the hopes of inspiring a lifelong love of reading.

Why 12:30 PM? Because we’re workin’ 9 to 5! 😉 Grab your coworkers, make it a corporate affair, and spend your lunch break walking for a wonderful cause. Bring the whole office, rally your team, and show Danville what happens when we put our community behind a good cause!

Event Details:

• This is an easy, 1 mile, fun walk beginning and ending at The Dogeared Page, located at 525 Main Street.
• Costumes are encouraged (and will be celebrated!), but are not required! We’d love it if you’d come dressed in your very best attire, the bigger the hair and the more rhinestone sparkle, the better!
• Free bottled water and refreshments will be served at the shop after the walk for all participants.
• The first 100 registrants will receive a custom-designed enamel pin to commemorate their participation in this event.
• While we encourage folks to join us in person, we realize not everyone can make it out in the middle of a weekday. We will be honoring remote walks completed on your own! Simply register for the walk, complete your 1-mile walk on your own time, and stop by the shop to pick up your commemorative pin.

Registration

• Registration is $20 per person and can be completed online through RunSignUp.
• Your registration includes participation in the walk, post-walk refreshments, and a custom-designed enamel pin to commemorate your participation (for the first 100 registrants). 

So grab your friends, your coworkers, and your cowgirl boots (or maybe sneakers instead for this one, diva). Let’s make a little noise, spread a little love, celebrate a legendary woman, and help get more books into the hands of children everywhere.
