Description

"One More Step" is a slogan that can be used in any way of life.  Just "one more step" represents not giving up no matter what life brings.  Just one more class, just one more payment, just one more mile , just one more day etc...  However, in this case I use the slogan with Brice Bickford (stepdad) and my mother.  Brice is battling an aggressive stage 4 cancer called Sarcomatoid Mesothelioma in his left lung.  This diagnosis occurred unexpectedly after going in for a small procedure this past August.  Since then he has been in the trenches grinding daily while undergoing an experimental drug treatment.  I have told him that we are on the field down by 3 with :30 seconds to play, we now have the ball and it's time to take one more step!  For those that don't know, the Bickfords, they are a staple in the community and have played a significant role with throughout The Brick's business life.  To the point that we nicknamed them the Brickfords (haha) because of their continued support over the years their mentoring, volunteering, leadership and prayers. This virtual run is to support by trying to raise funds for medical expenses and supplies while accompanying the  them on this journey by also taking "One More Step".  With this said, you can choose to run or walk a 5K, 8K, 10K, or 10 Miler anywhere at anytime to receive the AWESOME "One More Step" shirt!  If you choose not to run or walk but would like to make a contribution to the Bickfords, you can do so on the website.  The family sends prayers and blessings to you no matter what your "One More Step" looks like.  #neverquit  #bricestrong
