Join our 4th annual Camp Bethel PEP! 5K Run and Walk fundraiser! This 5K race covers some of the many trails, fields, and forests on the 470 acres of Camp Bethel, making it ideal for runners who wear spikes. Your fee (and sponsors) will benefit Camp Bethel. $35.00 Participant Fee includes fully stocked water/aid stations, a race t-shirt, post-race packaged snacks, BRUNCH, fun, fellowship, and Barry's bad jokes. Sponsor the run to make it more fun! Join us on this journey: good for health, good for fellowship, and good for Camp Bethel!
Due to the the Governor’s executive order and the rules of phase III, this year’s Camp Bethel PEP! 5K will be a operating a little differently. Packet pickup before race day is greatly encouraged to minimize the volume of people on race morning.
Packet Pickup Options:
Thursday, September 3, 5:30-7:00pm at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren; 2138 McVitty Rd SW Roanoke, VA 24018
Friday, September 4, 10:00am - 5:00pm at Camp Bethel; 328 Bethel Road Fincastle, VA 24090
At the event, when congregating, pre and post race, the top priority of social distancing is encouraged and if unable to distance the wearing of a mask is recommended. The event will be chip timed at both the start and finish. The race will start in waves in order to spread runners out and eliminate the mass start.
Runners should stay 6 feet apart at the start line and we’ll have visual and verbal cues as to how we want you to line up at the start. While waiting for your wave, runners should avoid groups and stay socially distant. During the race, runners may not run in packs of more than 4. Post race snacks and drink will be limited but a brunch buffet will be offered (donations strongly encouraged). Results will be done as soon as possible following the last runner.
