Description
The Spring Scamper is a mass start navigation event where solo competitors and teams use a map and compass to search for up to 12 control points placed in the woods and fields around Camp Bethel. Competitors have up to 3 hours to find as many points as possible and return to the start/finish. Total length of the course is approximately 6-8 miles. Points will be marked on the map and can be found in any order.
Maps will be provided, but bring your own compass. Also bring water and snacks. Teams are allowed but must stay together (no splitting up!). Families are encouraged to participate! Post-race chili will be served starting at 11:30.
We'll have a pre-race briefing at 8:45. Maps will be distributed at 8:55; course opens at 9:00 and closes at 12:00.
Registration: $30 solo; $50 two person team; $75 three to four person team; $60 family team with children (up to 4 people)
Registration includes a hot lunch and a branded glass/mug for each team member (family teams will get two mugs).
