Shenandoah Intro to Trail Running for Kids!

Share your love of the outdoors and trail running with your kids at the FRW Intro to Trail Running Camp in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley over Veterans Day weekend! 

Our base camp will be The Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows, a spacious facility with a lake, 1-mile onsite trail, camp fire stations, and a soccer field and basketball court.

Campers will arrive mid-afternoon on Friday the 10th, and the camp will wrap up midday Sunday. We'll do several shorter trail runs/walks/hikes each day, and kids will get a short course on trail safety and running form. In addition to some good old-fashioned s'mores and free time to burn off that energy!

All packages include accommodation for 2 nights and all food/beverages.

Accommodation at Shenandoah Meadows will include one larger Chalet with 3 bedrooms (2 with queens and 1 with two bunks – one set of bunks has a queen bed), and a semi-private room with a twin bed. The Chalet has a full kitchen, three bathrooms, television, campfire set-up, and hot tub. The two tiny cabins (located across a field from the Chalet) offer a pull-out couch on the ground floor and a loft regular-size bed. The tiny cabins have no private bathrooms but rather use the bathhouse located a 30-second walk away. There is one bunkhouse by the bathhouse with space for 10-20 kids. All meals will be prepared and offered at the Chalet.
·       $275 per person for a room or semi-private room in Chalet (+processing fee when registering, which is shared with FRW).

·       $125 per child for shared accommodation in bunkhouse or bunks in the basement of the Chalet.

·       $450 per tiny cabin (2 on property).
