Description
The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charity that exists to promote roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness programs. Our programs support of families of fallen or permanently disabled work zone workers and educates the next generation of road users about work zone safety.
The ATSS Foundation is hosting a virtual Fun Run and Roadway Safety Challenge! Participants can choose from two exciting races: a 5K Fun Run and a 35-mile Roadway Safety Challenge. For the longer race, challengers may cover the distance over multiple legs that add up to the full distance.
We encourage you to run/walk with your pet!
When: Virtually anytime between May 11-27, 2024
Where: That's the best part - runners and walkers can complete their virtual race anywhere they want. Treadmill, park, neighborhood, trails, or track.
Swag: Participants will receive a T-shirt and a race medal. Register by May 6 to ensure shirt delivery and preferred size selection. Medals are limited and can only be guaranteed to the first 100 registrants.
How to participate:
1. Register for the event.
Participate as a team or individually. Runners receive a commemorative race shirt and finisher's medal (guaranteed to the first 100 finishers).
2. Consider joining or creating your own group or corporate team.
Corporate Team – The corporate teams is a great way for organizations to encourage their employees to participate in the Fun Run as a health and wellness initiative or team building activity. Select one of your employees as captain and register everyone by May 6 to ensure receipt of t-shirts and race medals.
Group Team – Outside of a corporate team, individual participants can register, pay for themselves and join a group team. Anyone can start or join a group team when registering through the Fun Run portal. A group team can include anyone and could be for your company, your family, or your friend group.
3. Don't forget to wear your race T-shirt and race bib! Consider walking/running with your pet.
4. Take photos during your run/walk and share them in the "Photo Album" in the RunSignUp platform or share on social media and tag #ATSSFoundation.
5. Submit your race results in the RunSignUp platform.

Referral Refunds
Refer 5 Friends and Receive a $10 Refund on Your Entry Fee!
After registering for this event, you will receive a unique referral link that you can share with your friends. If one of your friends registers for this event by May 6 through your unique link, you will be credited with a referral. If you reach a total of 5 referrals, you will receive a $10 refund on your entry fee! In order for a registration to count as a referral, it must be a separate transaction from your original registration. If a family of 5 people sign up together at the same time in a single transaction, that will not qualify for a refund. The unique link must be used.
