Race day is October 12th when the leaves are turning and the apple cider’s flowing! This lumberjack-themed run will have you trading your usual race tee for your finest plaid shirt. Whether you're rocking suspenders, beanies, or just a solid beard, we want to see your best forest fashion as you race with us through a gorgeous autumn-filled course.
And the best part? After you cross the finish line, you’ll be rewarded with the ultimate fall feast — fresh apple cider, delicious donuts and apples, served up with a side of hearty high-fives and your finisher's medal!
Sharpen your axes (or your wit), lace up your boots (er, running shoes), and join us for a race that’s Plaid to the Bone! Costumes encouraged, flannel required, and fun guaranteed.
The Plaid to the Bone 10K is the 9th race in the 2025 Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Series hosted by the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.

Race Packets will not be mailed. If you are unable to make it to the race, please have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you.
Maple Miles & Markers
This scenic, axe-ceptional course runs along the beautiful Rappahannock River and chops its way through the trails of Pratt Park. You’ll log some miles (pun intended) over rolling hills that’ll keep your calves lumber-jacked.
Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just out for a tree-mendous time, this route offers the perfect mix of nature and challenge to keep your spirits high and your beard windswept.

Where To Park Your Axle
There are two parking options for this event.
Pratt Park
Parking at Pratt Park will be available until 6:55am, at which point vehicles will no longer be allowed to enter or leave because of the road closure on River Road that will begin at 7am. Please note that all vehicles parking at Pratt will not be allowed out of the park until approximately 9:30am when the last 10K runner is clear of River Road.
Secondary Parking Lot
Parking is also available near the YMCA Water Park off of Butler Road (212 Butler Road). This option is recommended for participants who are planning to arrive after 6:55am or who plan to leave before 9:30am.
