On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Mary Washington Hospital Foundation (MWH) will host its annual 2.2‑mile Power of Pink Breast Cancer Walk.
Since the MWH Foundation Breast Cancer Fund was established in 2010, the walk has raised more than $331,000 to promote local breast cancer awareness, assist families affected by breast cancer, and support programs, training, education, and equipment. All funds remain in our community to help local families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
The walk will begin and end in the large parking lot at the Mary Washington Orthopedics (formerly the John F. Fick, III Conference Center) located below the Mary Washington Healthcare Regional Cancer Center and the Imaging Center for Women.

BEST PINK COSTUME CONTEST
Walkers are also encouraged to participate in the Best PINK costume contest with a chance to be awarded prizes. Prizes will be awarded for the Best PINK outfit in three age categories: 12 and under; 13-20; and 21 and over.
Dress your dog in its best PINK outfit, too!
LARGEST GROUP CONTEST
When registering for the walk, we invite you to create a group/team to participate in the Largest Group challenge for a chance to win a group prize!
*Important Deadline*
Team Captains will need to create their "team name" on the first step of the registration process. Afterwards, other team members can register and join their team which will be displayed in a drop down menu.
Team registration closes at 11:59 P.M. on Thursday, October 1.
Deadlines
Shirts: Register by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 21 to guarantee you'll receive your event shirt.
Early Bird Pricing: Register online by 12:00 o'clock noon on Friday, October 9, and save $5!
You can also register on the day of the walk, but don't wait! After the early bird deadline, the price increase will be in affect.
