This family-friendly 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will raise funds to enhance the quality and impact of student learning experiences in Spotsylvania County Public Schools (SCPS) through the Spotsylvania Education Foundation (SEF).
SEF is hosting the race virtually this year! Participants will complete their 5K or 1 Mile during April 16-18. Race bibs and t-shirts* will be available for pick up on April 15 and 16.
*Update: There is a limited number of Race T-shirts available. T-shirts will be assigned by requested size as participants register until non remain. There is no guarantee that participants will receive a t-shirt after 4/2/2021. Selection of size during registration does not guarantee a t-shirt.
Now, more than ever, SCPS teachers, students and families need the support from our community. The Spotsylvania Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, supports innovative programs and projects for the students and employees of Spotsylvania County Public Schools, which enhance student learning and contribute to success after graduation. During this unprecedented time, the Foundation will continue to work closely with SCPS to identify how to best support students and teachers.
Cheering from the sidelines or not able to join in on race weekend but still want to support students and teachers in Spotsylvania County? Visit SEF’s donate page at https://www.sef4education.org/donate/.
Participants can pick up their Race bibs and t-shirts* on April 15 and 16 from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. If weather permits, SEF will also hold a drive-thru pick up time from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m on Thursday, April 15. If there is inclement weather during the drive-thru timeframe, participants must make arrangements to pick up race packets during the regularly scheduled pick up times. All pick up sessions are held at the SCPS Administrative Services Office (8020 River Stone Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22407).
*Update: There is a limited number of Race T-shirts available. T-shirts will be assigned by requested size as participants register while supplies last. Selection of size during registration does not guarantee a t-shirt.
Early registration allows time to order the correct number of shirts for all participants. We can only guarantee availability of shirts for those participants who have registered by April 2, 2021. If registering for the race after 4/2/21, there will be limited shirt availability.
School Challenge – One school at each level (elementary, middle and high) with the largest number of paying participants will be awarded the School Challenge Award of $300.
