Lion Pride 5k & Kids Fun Run

Join us on Saturday, November 5 for our second annual 5k Lion Pride run/walk and Kids Mile Fun Run benefitting the Goochland Elementary School PTA!  All are welcome to this family friendly event, with special pricing for Goochland students, faculty and staff.  Money raised will help the PTA continue to support programs, special events and enrichment for the students and faculty of GES.

The course for the 5k will be mostly on trails, and the Kids Run will be held on the GES track.  Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome to participate in the 5k, while the Kids Fun Run presents a fun challenge for ages 12 and under.  The 5k race will be chip timed by Commonwealth Timing. The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the race may be delayed.  Because the 5k is a trail race, strollers will not be permitted.

Date: Saturday, November 5, 2016

Time:  8:15 a.m. - Kids Mile Fun Run 
9:00 a.m.– 5k run/walk

Awards: Top 3 in each 5k age group receive medals
All participants in the Kids Fun Run receive a finisher ribbon

Cost: 5k or Kids Fun Run - $25 by October 31, $35 after and on race day.    
Goochland County Public Schools students, teachers and faculty - Special reduced fee of $20, when registration is completed by October 21 (you will see this discount on the second page of signup).

Shirts: 5k entries received by October 31 are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. Registrants after October 24 will be able to pick their shirts up on November 11.
T-shirts for late registrants are not guaranteed but may be available on a first come-first served basis. Race t-shirts will also be available for purchase. 

Registration: Online registration ends November 3. Walkup registration will be available at packet pickup and on race day. 

Packet pickup: Packets will be distributed to GES students and faculty.  Race day pickup will also be available.

Donations: Not available to participate, but you would still like to help? Donations, for any amount, will directly fund GES PTA Programs. Our PTA is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization. Our tax ID EIN number is: 54-1705234
