Harrisonburg Police Training Ground
The 2019 Adventure Race program consists of 2 events that provide challenges and attractions for people of all skill levels
• 5K timed obstacle race
• Challenging SWAT course
PLUS
• Food and Drink
• DJ and Music
• HPD Open House with demonstrations
5K Obstacle Race
Breathe some new life into your running regimen. Work your way around the course, conquering obstacles designed to add interest and test your strength and agility. Suitable for all skill levels.
Anyone can start and everyone can finish!
SWAT Challenge
Think you can handle some of the physical demands placed on SWAT officers? Give it your all and see how you compare. You don’t have to be Superman or Wonder Woman, but core strength helps!
HPD Open House
Every specialty of the Harrisonburg Police Department will be represented with displays and demonstrations. A DJ will provide music. Food vendors will provide their specialties.
What the Police Foundation Does for the Community
The Harrisonburg Police Foundation is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) charity that supports HPD programs and needs not funded in the city budget. Net proceeds of this event remain 100% in the community and currently support:
• Youth Athletic and Summer Camp Programs
• Acquiring specialized Training and Equipment
• Emergency assistance to Officers and Staff
