CBD-IAI Chase the Evidence Virtual 5K

The Chesapeake Bay Division of the International Association for Identification (CBD-IAI) is hosting a Virtual 5K event as part of the Educational Conference taking place in June 2025. This year's conference will be held at the Wisp Resort in McHenry, Maryland with a beautiful view of Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding mountains.  Regardless of whether or not you are able to attend the conference, our Virtual 5k is an opportunity to have fun and be included in an event with fellow colleagues throughout all forensic science and law enforcement disciplines. 

Since this 5K is being held virtually, participation is self-paced and accommodating to any shift or busy schedule! 

The event can be completed anywhere, any time of day, and on whatever type of terrain works best for you. 

EVENT DETAILS:

WHAT: Virtual 5K (3.1 miles) - Self-submitted timed results 

WHEN: Thursday, May 1st - Sunday, June 15th, 2025

WHERE: Any Location (road, trail, treadmill, beach, mountain, etc.)

HOW: Run, Walk, Speed walk, or Jog your entire mileage

FEES: $35 + processing fee (additional fees will apply if you choose to have your medal shipped to you rather than pickup at the conference) ***Must register by Friday, May 30th for Medal pickup at the conference***

INCLUDED: A  custom-made wooden CBD-IAI Chase the Evidence Virtual 5K medal, Printable 5K Bib, & 5K Finisher Certificate

Registration will be open beginning Thursday, May 1st and will close on Sunday, June 15th, 2025.

Participants registered on or before May 30th, 2025: You will be able to pick up your medal in the Vendor Hall at the 2025 CBD-IAI Educational Conference (if attending). 

Participants registered after May 30th, 2025 or those not attending the conference: You can have your medals shipped to your home address (by selecting the shipping and handling add-on option at time of registration).
