West Creek Duathlon & 5k

The race will be held at West Creek in Goochland, VA.  West Creek is an established business park totaling over 3,500 acres of land: approximately 800 acres developed, 1,700 acres undeveloped, and 650 acres are preserved in a flood plain. West Creek has become an integral part of the Richmond landscape with several major institutions and amenities.  The park has abundant wildlife habitats along Tuckahoe Creek, as well as two large lakes, with restrictive covenants to maintain and protect this natural integrity.  West Creek is the perfect backdrop for this exciting event!

For GPS, please use address 12575 West Creek Parkway, Henrico, VA 23238 but all vehicles will enter and exit gate 4 (closest to the lake).  Please refer to the venue map.

Adult/Junior Duathlon

The adult/junior duathlon course for ages 13+ to adult will include a 1/2 mile run (1-loop), 7.2 mile bike (4-loops), and 2.5k run (2-loops).  The entire course is on a closed loop free of any vehicular traffic.  You will have the option to race in a draft-legal category with a road bike, the non-draft category with a triathlon or road bike, or both!  Age is determined by age on 12/31/2025.

Youth Duathlon

The youth duathlon course for ages 12 and under will include a 1/2 mile run (1-loop), 3.6 mile bike (2-loops), and 1.25k run (1-loop).  The entire course is on a closed loop free of any vehicular traffic.  The youth race will be draft-legal though participants can choose not to draft.  Age is determined by age on 12/31/2025.

5k Run
The 5k course is a relatively flat and fast 1-loop course in beautiful West Creek where runners will have the full, closed road without any concern of vehicular traffic. All ages can participate!
 

This is a USAT sanctioned event, and all duathlon participants must purchase a one-time USA Triathlon membership or annual membership but ages 17 & under can use code “LiveRedYouth” to receive a free membership.  To purchase an adult or youth membership please visit the USAT Membership Site.
