HVFD Memorial Day 5k Run/Walk

Support the Hurt Volunteer Fire Department's fund raising efforts by running or walking in the 1st Annual Hurt Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Day 5k Run/Walk.

Registration:  $25.00 (Race Day $30.00) ||  12 & under $20.00*

Awards:  Top Overall Male and Female, Top Male / Female in each age group.

5K Course:
The 5K begins in front of New Prospect Baptist Church on Prospect Road and follows a mostly flat course at the beginning then transitioning to some declines and inclines through the rural Town of Hurt. The course route is Prospect Road going north to Ridge Street. At the intersection of Ridge Street and Prospect Road the course will make a U-turn continuing back south on Prospect Road towards New Prospect Church. Before getting to New Prospect Church the course will turn West onto School Road continuing on Lynn Street. At the intersection of Lynn Street and Oak Street the course will make a left onto Oak Street. The course will continue to the intersection of Oak Street and Grove Street. At the intersection of Oak Street and Grove Street the course will turn right onto Grove Street. Once on Grove Street the course will continue to the intersection of Grove Street and Spring Street. At the intersection of Grove Street and Spring Street the course will turn right onto Spring Street and continue all the way to the end of Spring Street. At the end of Spring Street the course will make a U-turn continuing back on Spring Street towards the intersection of Spring Street and West Spencer Road. At the intersection of West Spencer Road and Spring Street the race will turn right onto West Spencer Road continuing towards New Prospect Church to end in the back of New Prospect Church.
