The 2nd annual Hoofbeats Heroes 5K Trail Run is an important fundraising event with all proceeds to benefit
Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center.
Please come and enjoy an exciting run/walk event and be a Hoofbeats Hero at the same time!
Enjoy a rolling open cross country grass course and scenic forest trails.
- Spectacular knock-your-socks-off Blue Ridge Mountain Views!
- Held on the world class 600 acre grounds of the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA.
- Chip timed for accuracy! 8:00am start time.
- Fast pace or not - run or walk or both - you decide! Good footing!
- Race day includes a Pony Express children's fun run with awards! 7:45 am start time children's run.
- 5K overall and age division Medal Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners/male and female
- 1-9. 10-14, 15-19. 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and up.
- FINISHER MEDALS for all 5K participants!
- FREE finish line photos!
- Refreshments and snacks. Door prizes too!
Hoofbeats riders will be there to greet you and to cheer you on.
Walkers welcome. Leashed dogs permitted. Strollers not advised.
Covered picnic area at race site. Easy close by parking. Ample Port-a-Johns!
5K registration on-line is $25.00. 5K registration on race day is $35.00 (cash or check please).
All registered runners will receive a Finisher's Medal at the finish line!

Pony Express family friendly short fun run with awards is FREE.

Hoofbeats Therapeutic Riding Center , established in 1993, provides training in horsemanship and therapeutic riding for people with disabilities (physical, mental, emotional, speech, and learning), for persons diagnosed with debilitating or life-threatening illnesses and for a limited number of able-bodied children and adults.
Program areas include Special Olympics, Lesson Programs, Drill Team Riding, Show Teams, Wounded Warriors Project, Riding Scholarships and the Barn Rats Program among others.
Hoofbeats is a Premier Accredited Facility with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
Hoofbeats is a Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries recognized facility.
