Don't Push Ivory 5K /10K

Ivory has been dragging me through trails for a while now. The joke is every time we get to a "great overlook" I threaten to push her. I started using the hashtag #dontpushivory. 

Since a lot of people have expressed an interest in trail running we thought we would have a fun little 10k through the mountains.

Ashby Gap and Old Appalachian Trail Loop is a 6.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Paris, Virginia that features a great forest setting and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding. Dogs are also able to use this trail.From the Ashby Gap trail head cross Rt 50 to pick up the Old AT. In Sky Meadows State Park, the Paris VA overlook provides a nice location for lunch. Return to Ashby Gap via the Northbound AT.

There is an option to do a 5K hike/run! 

The parking lot is small so please be aware we may have to park someplace else.
