Montclair SwimFest

Powered by Revolution3, this Open Water Swim event will feature 3 distances in the beautiful Lake Montclair in Virginia. Home to the Montclair Triathlon (July 24th) this venue is a great way to get your Open Water Swim experience in a safe and protected body of water. 

Three distances to choose from, with an 800 meter (1/2 mile), 2000 meter (1.2 mile) and 5000 meter (3.1 mile) event to choose from. While the 800 meter and 2000 meter events are perfect for new (and experienced) triathletes and open water swimmers, the 5000 meter swim requires proof of Open Water Swimming Experience, or the ability to have a lifeguard certify that you can swim 1 mile in under 1 hour. 

Our 800 meter course will be an exact replica of the race course for the Montclair Triathlon! We will have an area set up similar to our transition, so that you get a great feeling for how race day in July can be!

Our 5000 meter course adds the unique challenge of having you exit the water, do a short run on Dolphin Beach, and re-entering the water for lap two! Triathlon veterans will recognize this in-and-out flow from numerous long course triathlons from past.
