Description
Greenwood Elementary Physical Education will be hosting a virtual 1K walk-run for students/staff and their families to continue to promote lifetime fitness and overall wellness. We are asking students staff and their families to complete the walk/run while practicing social distancing. Wear green to support Greenwood Elementary School!
Cost: FREE- signs up start October 20th and run through October 26th
When: October 26th 2020 ANYWHERE ANYTIME during the day run .62 miles (1k) and record your time!
How is it going to work? Map your run using the MapMyRun app or a GPS watch, or map your path prior to going out and mark your time when you reach the 1K (.62 mile) distance. When you are done, log your time on the runsignup.com website where you registered.
We recommend the MapMyRun app. It is easy to use and easy to track. A Fibits, Apple Watch, or Garmin Watch will also track your distance phone free.
Send us your pictures: We would like to connect and show the community how we are all in this together, while staying fit and active. Send a picture of you and/or your family participating!
