5K Run/Walk
Event Highlights
Join us for a festive 5K run/walk through the beautiful Victorian Era Garden Cemetery! This USA Track & Field certified course winds through Elmwood Cemetery on varied terrain including asphalt, grass, and gravel.
Costume Fun: All costumes are welcome—please be respectful. Victorian and Steampunk era costumes will be judged at 3 p.m. in the registration area before the race. Don't forget to dress your dog in a costume for a chance to win first place!
What's Included: Every participant receives a finisher medal, race shirt, after-race power bars, and unlimited water and Gatorade.
Special Prize: Pass the finish line in 18 minutes or less (male or female) and collect $250.00 cash. One winner only!
Registration Pricing
- Early Bird (through 10-1-2026): $35 Adults, $25 Children
- Standard (10-2-2026 to 10-16-2026): $40 Adults, $30 Children
- Day of Race (10-17-2026): $55 Adults, $45 Children
Children are age 19 and under. Sizes guaranteed if registered by 10-2-2026. T-shirts are short-sleeved performance running shirts. Adult sizes available: S, M, L, XL, XXL.
Race Details
Time: Check-in and registration run from 2:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m. at the West Point Cemetery. Run/Walk begins promptly at 4 p.m. at the West Point Memorial. Professional timing by Mettle Events.
The Course: The USA Track & Field certified 5K course begins at the West Point Memorial and continues through Elmwood Cemetery, ending at the West Point Memorial. Terrain varies and includes asphalt, grass, and gravel.
Parking: Free parking at Elmwood Cemetery. Follow the signs.
Age Divisions: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and above.
Awards: Top 3 Male & Female Overall and Top 3 Male & Female in each age division. Awards presentation immediately follows the race at the finish line.
Event Status: Event takes place rain or shine unless safety concerns arise. NSCC reserves the right to cancel the event if weather produces an unsafe environment for participants and volunteers.
