Please join us for the Prince George County Hometown Heroes 5k, the Little Hero Feet Meet 1 mile Fun Run, and the 100 meter Little Hero Kinder-Dash.
On May 2, 2020 at Scott Park there will be a celebration to honor our Prince George Heroes. These men and women in the military, police, fire and EMS who protect our communities and country everyday. The Hometown Hero Celebration, 5K and Fun Run proceeds will be donated to five local scholarships awarded to Prince George students…. building the next generation of hometown heroes.
Place: The 5K race will begin and end at Scott Park in Prince George. Following, there will be awards, games, activities, music, and more.
Time: The 5k race will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 8:30am, and the Little Hero Feet Meet will begin at 10:30am.
5k Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 male & top 3 female overall finishers, first place male & female Masters, and top 3 finishers in each age group.
5k Age Groups: Groups will be divided as follows: 10 & under, 11-14 years, 15-18 years, 19-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, and 60 years & over.
Course: The course will begin at Scott Park, continue up Courthouse Road to Prince George Drive, then come back to Scott Park.
Registration: Registration will begin on January 1, 2020. The price will grant the runner permission to participate in the race and includes water, t-shirt, and post-race activities. The cost will be $20.
Packet pick-up: Race packets can be picked up starting May 1st from 4pm-6pm at the Prince George County Emergency Operations Center, located between the Police Station and Fire Station at 6520 Laurel Spring Road or on May 2nd beginning at 7:00am at Scott Park.
*Participants must register by April 1, 2019 in order to guarantee a t-shirt. The price will remain the same for registration, but the participant will not receive a t-shirt. T-shirts will be available for sale after the race for $10.
