Friends of Reston Fall 5K

Join the Friends of Reston on Sunday, October 4th, for the 6th Annual Fall 5K to help raise funds for their scholarship and enrichment programs. All proceeds for this event support the Friends of Reston, a 501(c)(3) supporting organization of Reston Association.

New this year, Friends of Reston is excited to announce the addition of a Pumpkin Dash. This is a free event intended for children 10 and under, but all kids are welcome to participate. Children in the dash will receive a small pumpkin for finishing the race. 

The race will start and finish at Browns Chapel Park. The Pumpkin Dash will start at 8:00 am, and will conclude before the start of the the 5K race at 8:15 am. The distance of the Dash is about 50 yards up to 200M depending on the children's age. The 5K Runners will run along the Reston paved trails.

Registration Fees:
5K - $40 through August 14
        $45 August 14 through September 30
        $50 October 1 through Race Day.

5K (14 & Under) - $25 through August 14
                             $30 August 15 through September 30
                             $35 October 1 through Race Day.

Pumpkin Dash - Free registration, does not include a race shirt. Pumpkin Dash participants may purchase a shirt for $15

Online registration will remain open through Race Morning. All registrations must be completed online. 

Packet pick up will be at the Browns Chapel Park (1575 Brown's Chapel Rd, Reston, VA 20191) on Saturday, October 3 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Runners registered before September 14 will be guaranteed a commemorative race shirt; all others will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the Pumpkin Dash participants does not include a shirt. One can be purchased for $15. 

Awards will be given to the overall male & female top 3 finishers, as well as the top male and female finisher in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.

Race Day Parking - Please be aware that parking is limited in Brown's Chapel Park. Overflow parking is available on RA property, Lake Anne Park, and Lake Newport Pool. 

Strollers are welcome!
