Description
You know it’s time...time to get up off the couch, or away from your computer and do something about that “Quarantine 15”.
Join your friends and neighbors for the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce Annual Pumpkin 5K and Movement Challenge! This is a unique, month-long celebration of good health and fitness that allows you to participate virtually with people from all over our community. We are offer you the chance to complete any of the following challenges:
- 1 mile run/walk
- 5K run/walk
- The “Halloween 13” – a 13-mile challenge that allows you to “virtually” run around Reston!
- Moving minutes challenges of 500, 700 or 1000 minutes
Don’t want to run your 5K? That’s alright…feel free to walk, swim, bike the distance!
Up for doing more than just one challenge? GO FOR IT! Register for ONE event and you unlock access to ALL the events. Register before October 30 to be sure you have a full 30 days to move, move, move. Ability to log in your minutes will close on November 30.
Moving Challenge
Not interested in our racing challenges? Consider the moving minutes challenges. Select the time you’ll commit for the month….500, 700, or 1000…and then get moving! Log your time spent doing your favorite exercise or physical activity to reach your goal.
Playing a round of golf. A game of pickleball with the neighbors. Yoga class with your friends.
It’s all up to you…the key is to get up and get active!
Teams
Make even more fun and create a team! Encourage your friends, neighbors and colleagues to join your team and go head-to-head with others. Build the biggest team for the ultimate in bragging rights!

Use your unique registration link (found in your confirmation email) to refer your friends and family and you will be rewarded! Once your registration link is used five times to complete a registration, you will receive $5 back as our way of saying Thank You!
