RRRC New Runners Training

Wed May 9 - Wed June 13, 2018 Richmond, VA US 23227 Directions
Description

Do you want to start running or get back into running? Richmond Road Runners Club (RRRC) has the perfect 6-week program to help you start and succeed.

The New Runners Training will meet for six (6) weeks on Wednesday evenings (6:00-7:30 PM) at Richmond's Bryan Park. The first session is Wednesday May 9, 2018.

After introductions and a warm-up, the team will run or run/walk. The goal is to cover 1 mile the first week and then increase the distance by a 1/2 mile each week. Each evening's program will end with a cool-down, running tips from Coach Herv, and a recommended activity plan for the next week.

By the end of the program, you will be able to run or run/walk for 3 miles or 5 kilometers...the distance of the most common local runs and races. RRRC will have the RRRC Thanks Dad 5K on Sunday June 17, the RRRC Cul-de-sac 5K Series, presented by Tri-Ad Chiropractic on three (3) Monday evenings in July, and the RRRC Pony Pasture 5K on Saturday July 28.
