Winter Training offers curated routes for newbies to veterans. We welcome runners of varied paces; however, WMTT might not be the best fit for those trying to achieve a Boston or other qualifying time.

We offer a recommended training plan & weekly supported long runs, with bits of history along the way thanks to Annie Tobey's research. You will receive weekly guidance from our experienced coaches. The water stops are every 3-4 miles & will have water, electrolytes, & nutrition. Our weather each week is always running weather!

We NEED volunteers to support the hydration/fueling stops along the training runs starting December 10 and on all following Saturdays. The time commitment is between 2 and 4 hours depending on the day's mileage.
RRRC Grand Prix participants will receive one (1) contract race/event volunteer point for each time that he/she serves as a WMTT water stop volunteer.

Richmond Road Runners Club's mission is to support running and healthy lifestyles in the Richmond Region. We do this by sponsoring races in our area, helping other organizations put on races, coaching training teams, supporting kids' running programs, supporting a variety of group runs and awarding academic scholarships to college-bound runner athletes.
RRRC is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that sponsors nearly 20 races each year with distances ranging from 3 miles to half marathon. Club members are runners or those looking to become runners, who are of all paces, ages and shapes. With approximately 2,500 members, RRRC is one of the largest running clubs in the United States.
