Description
Crime victims and communities need to know about the information and resources available to them in central Virginia. The goal of this event is to show support and bring awareness to the impact of crime on communities by having a 5k run and a Crime Victim Resource Fair. The Event will be held from 8:30am to 12:00 Noon with opening remarks at 9:00am and then the 5K starting at 9:30am. Register for the 5k by 3/31/2023.
On April 15th, stop by Monroe Park in Richmond to learn about services, resources, and information available to crime victims and their support systems in Virginia. Over 50 Programs from Central Virginia (Ashland to Powhatan to Prince George and everywhere in between) will be present to highlight resources available and show their support for victims and the community. Event Parking will be $5 at the Henry Street Parking Deck (200 N. Henry Street).
Non-Profit, Local, and State agencies will be highlighting their programs and giving out resource materials;
Participating Food Trucks include Good Doggie, El Guapo, and 804 Snack Drawer. They will be on site for purchase;
There will be Costume Characters, games, prizes, and music provided by DJ Jones from Higher Visions Music. This will be a family friendly event to remember!
