This will be the 41st year for this classic Richmond Road Runners Club (RRRC) race. The out-and-back course starts with a mile downhill, follows roads along the scenic James River, and ends with a climb to the start/finish area.
The date and details are tentative and subject to change.
Registration for the RRRC Stratford Hills 10K will open in January 2020.
The 10K (6.2 miles) course (map) is an out and back course. It starts on the road beside the shopping center and descends a fast 1 mile to a flat scenic run along the James River for about 2.1 miles to the turn around point. The return course is a reverse of the outgoing, including back up that same starting hill.
The course has 4 water stops at approximately miles 1, 2, 4 and 5. Water and other refreshments are available after the race.
This is a road race conducted under the rules of USATF and RRCA. In consideration of the safety of all participants, the following are not allowed on the course during the race: baby joggers, baby strollers, animals on leash, skateboards, inline or roller skates, or bicycles. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, RRRC encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the Stratford Hills 10K.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO BE ALERT FOR TRAFFIC. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SAFETY. BE ALERT, WATCH FOR TRAFFIC & PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FELLOW RUNNERS, COURSE MARSHALS, AND POLICE.
The race will be timed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Results will be posted on online on the RRRC website and on this race page (see Results tab).
