Virginia Capital Trail and East Coast Greenway Edition
Kick-off 2021 by participating in our Winter Warrior Challenge! The Winter Warrior Challenge is a great opportunity to VIRTUALLY complete 282 miles along the East Coast Greenway in Virginia. Did you know the Virginia Capital Trail is part of the East Coast Greenway Coastal Route?
As you make your way through Virginia, you can physically complete your miles on the Capital Trail, anywhere along the East Coast Greenway, any local trail, stationary bike, treadmill, etc. As you complete your mileage you will submit your distance on your RunSignUp Profile and earn virtual facts along the way!
All proceeds go to the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation and East Coast Greenway Alliance.
This challenge follows along the East Coast Greenway Spine Route from DC to Richmond then the East Coast Greenway Coastal Route from Richmond to the VA/NC state border.
Total miles: 282 (Spine Route: DC to Richmond then following the Coastal Route: Richmond to Virginia/North Carolina border)
You can complete this challenge alone or with a team of up to 4 people! Start the New Year right by staying active and learning more about the Virginia Trail Network!
You can ride your bike, walk, run, skate, skip, or a combination of them all! It's up to you. Set a goal to move 'x' miles and work from there.

As you continue to submit your mileage, you will receive emails with fun facts about the East Coast Greenway Coastal route in Virginia!
All participants will receive a unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt. Sizes range from Adult Small to Adult 2XLarge.
We are not accepting any exchanges. If you ordered the wrong size and need a new one, please make a donation of $20 (to cover the costs of the merchandise and shipping), enter your new size in the comments section, and email info@virginiacapitaltrail.org and they will take care of it.
