Description
Join the J. R. Tucker High School Marine Corps JROTC cadets for our holiday walk/run! The course is beautiful, with views of the river, Belle Isle, and Brown's Island. Race day is December 7, 2024, with check-in from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. and an opening ceremony at 9:15 a.m. Upon conclusion of the ceremony, the 5K will start. Check in is at the Virginia War Memorial, and then make your way to the start on Brown's Island Way.
The race will benefit the J. R. Tucker MCJROTC Program. Money raised will pay for field trips, team competitions, meals, charter buses, hotels, school and special events supplies, exercise equipment, uniforms, and scholarships. For more information about Tucker's JROTC program, visit the website.
A t-shirt is included with each registration. The top three runners will receive a medal.

Course Map
The course will start at Brown's Island Way, head to the Belle Isle footbridge, cross over, run around Belle Isle, and then head to the Brown's Island footbridge and finish back at Brown's Island Way. The course is primarily a trail with stairs, rocks, and roots, so strollers are not recommended.
Packet Pick-Up Information
Packet pickup will be the day of the run, beginning at 7:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. at the amphitheater of the Virginia War Memorial. Please arrive early.
All registered participants are required to sign release forms.
