Want to support our local outdoor community and get the whole family outside the weekend of Go Fest? Let's do it! Join us for the 3rd annual $5 5K and get the whole family involved without breaking the bank. Over the last two years we have had 55, 1st time 5k finishers! Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Marsh McLennan Agency, all proceeds benefit Roanoke Outside!
This event will be chip timed, and we will have age group and overall M/F prizes.
Stick around after the race for raffles from Hoka, Runabout, and more! All finishers will be entered to win!

FAQ and other tid-bits
Can I push my child in a stroller: Yes, strollers are allowed for this race. Please be courteous of other runners who may wish to pass, this is especially critical on the Walnut Street Bridge where we will be utilizing the sidewalk.
Do I need to register my young child: If they are in a stroller, no. If the child will be participating in the run, we would like them to be officially registered. The price point of the race is intended to make this event family friendly, however, if finances are stopping you from registering, please contact us.
But I'm a walker and don't run, should I still sign up? YES YES YES! This event is a perfect 5k to walk. The route is mostly flat and on the Greenway.
I've never run a 5k and I'm nervous: Last year we had 26 participants run/walking their very 1st 5k! We would love to see that number increase! We designed this race to be family friendly, affordable, relatively flat, and a great way to kick off the last day of Go Fest! It's no-frills but it IS chip-timed and a fun way to get outside and be active, even if you never have before!
