Description
At the height of World War II Irene Morgan served her country in two ways: building B-26 Marauders to fight tyranny abroad, and refusing to give up her seat on an interstate bus, fighting segregation at home. The resulting case was elevated to the Supreme Court, where a landmark ruling in her favor put another nail in the coffin of Jim Crow. Come celebrate this hero of the Civil Rights Movement and support the MHS History Department by participating in the Virtual Irene Morgan 5k and Marathon through the Month of May.
