The Ian & Jalen Brown Run to Remember 5K

WHAT: Beautiful 5K race course for runners or walkers! All participants will receive a race shirt & medal (*awards for overall 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers for men, women, & kids ages 12 and under) *Virtual race participants will be mailed a bib and race medal, and will have the option of adding on a race t-shirt during the registration process.

WHEN: Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at 10AM.  Packet pickup starting 11/2 at 8AM

WHERE: Lake Anna State Park Spotsylvania, VA; Combination of park paved roads and wooded trails (*Virtual Run Option Available!)

WHY: All race proceeds and donations will directly benefit "The Ian and Jalen Brown Legacy Scholarship Fund" which awards 2 yearly scholarships to Spotsylvania High School seniors for college & trade school in memory of former students, Ian & Jalen Brown, brothers who tragically passed away on Nov. 5, 2015 in a car accident on their way to school.  Ian, a former soccer player at Spotsylvania H.S., loved blue, and Jalen, who was an exceptional cross-country runner, loved green.  We are encouraging all of our race participants, volunteers, and spectators to show their love for Ian and Jalen by wearing royal blue and green on race day!
