The RunningDownStigma 5k Run/Walk is a family-friendly event that brings individual runners, team-based runners, and walkers together to build a mentally healthier community. MHA-A is running and walking to build positive mental health, normalize conversations around mental health, connect those in need of help with resources, bring transformational education and training to our community, and support anyone living with mental illness.
We are extremely excited to have you join us in our run/walk to end the stigma of mental health and illness. COVID-19 has had a major impact on all of our mental health and this event will be a time to come together as a community to build mentally healthier communities.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE EVENT:
1. We MUST follow all COVID-19 procedures that are put into place by the State and Local government officials.
2. All participants will be sent an electronic race day packet before the race with valuable information and guidelines.
3. All participants are encouraged to bring their own hydration. Registrants will receive a bottle of water before the race.
4. The Run/Walk will be divided into 2 start times. Individuals runners and walkers will begin at 8 am. Teams will begin at 9 am.
Virtual Participation is allowed. Race ANYWHERE/ANYTIME between September 8-11th. Virtual Participants should register as an individual and email email@example.com to inform the Race Director of their intent to virtually run/walk the race.
Early Bird Registration is $25 (thru August 11th) and includes a T-shirt
Registration between August 12-September 11 is $30 and you are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
All participants are encouraged to partake in our pledge fundraising set-up through run sign-up. Pledge fundraising allows you to raise money to help support the cause of MHA-A and others to support you as you RunDownStigma. Prizes will be rewarded for those participants who raise:

STROLLERS AND PETS:
For the safety of all participants involved, we ask that strollers and pets line up at the back of the field to start the race.
