Description
Training for a fall distance race like MCM or Army Ten Miler? Putting in some miles on the weekends and looking for a fun change of venue? Whether you're running a few miles or over 20, =PR= Run Long(er) events will allow you to change up your scenery and rock your run! With routes from 3 miles to 22, water stops, nutrition samples, music, and pre- and post-run hype, you'll have everything you need for a great run. Walkers are welcome too!
Run Long(er) begins on Sunday, September 7! Check in at 6 AM with running beginning by 6:30 AM - although you can join us at any time throughout the event and run as many miles as you choose - start out or finish up with a friend even if you aren't planning the same total miles!
Join us for a great group atmosphere -- meet other runners and walkers, go out for as many miles as you or your training plan demand, and return for a Post Run Party at Caboose Tavern! Enjoy post-run food, a recovery van including Normatec boots, PTs onsite to answer your questions about any aches and pains, and more.
ASICS will be onsite offering the opportunity to test out some competition shoes - you can try a pair for your run or part of it and then receive a discount if you decide to pick up a pair before your next race or hard training cycle -- this is a great chance to see how you feel in this advanced footwear and determine how your body reacts!
We're planning another Run Long(er) event on Sunday October 5. and working on a November date as well (so all you fall racers can regroup and celebrate, and non-racers get another opportunity to get out there as well!) Mark your calendars! We hope to make these events ongoing and offer them each spring and fall!
