Vienna Firefly Chase

We are 100% virtual this year! You can complete this race anywhere between June 21, 2021 and June 27, 2021.  Once you complete your race, come back here to submit your results.

Packet pickup (including race t-shirts and medals/ribbons) will be at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department.  Details will be emailed to participants during the first week of June.  Shipping is also available for a fee.

5k Run/Walk - Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in the following age categories:  0-15 years; 16-40 years; and 40 years and over.

Chase the Chief (Kids 1-Mile Fun Run) - Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in the following age categories:  0-5 years; 6-10 years; and 11-15 years.

Teams Competition - Awards will be given to the three (3) teams with the greatest number of participants.

All registered participants in the 2021 Vienna Firefly Chase will be automatically entered in the random participant drawing for one or more prizes.  These giveaways are run solely at the discretion of the Vienna Firefly Chase.  Prizes may include gift cards to local merchants, the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department Store, and more.  The terms and conditions for the random participant drawing can be found at:  http://vvfd.org/fireflychasedrawing.html. 

Do you want to go for a running streak and have more opportunities to win the participant prize drawing?  You may add up to 6 additional entries per registrant for $2.00 per entry.  There are no t-shirts or medals/ribbons given for additional entries, but you will have plenty of bragging rights for completing your running streak!

While you are outside participating in the Vienna Firefly Chase, take some photos to include in our photo contest!  Each registered participant may enter one photo in the contest.  Photos must be taken between June 21, 2021 and June 27, 2021, and uploaded to the contest before 11:59 p.m. on June 27, 2021.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• People’s Choice – Winner from public vote on top photos (as selected by judges)
• Race Director’s Choice – Selected by Vienna Firefly Chase Director
• Chief’s Choice – Selected by the Volunteer Chief of the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department
