EVENT INFORMATION
Part One: Each participant will be a part of a team of two. First-round events take place at participating residential and senior-living communities. There is also an opportunity for those not living in a participating community to register for the event at Veteran's Park. Each community and the Veteran Park event will be led by a person/team of two. When registering online, you will choose your community OR Veteran's Park as your first event. If participating in a community other than Veteran's Park, you will be contacted by your community's representative with the date for your first-round event.
Please note that if you are participating at Veteran's Park, the first-round event will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The time for the day will be 8:00am-5:00pm, though you will receive YOUR specific start time based on your group and level prior to the event. You will not be required to be there for the entirety of the event aside from your specific time.
After each community has their first-round, they will send the winning team from each category to the final round, part two.
Part Two: The final event will take place on Sunday, May 5, 2024. It will take place at Veteran's Park. Each of the participating communities will send their winning team in each category to compete on this date. It will be a round robin format, and prizes will be awarded for the top two teams in each category. The event will also feature raffle drawings. Spectators are welcome to attend and watch this event.
The time for the day will be 8:00am-5:00pm, though you will receive YOUR specific start time based on your group and level prior to the event. You will not be required to be there for the entirety of the event aside from your specific time.
PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
The cost to participate is $40 per person (for a total of $80 each team, see details on teams below) through April 10th (extended!!!!), and $50 per person (for a total of $100 each team) beginning April 11th. Registration includes a t-shirt and is a tax-deductible donation to support The Arc of Greater Williamsburg. Participants will choose a category at registration: Women's, Men's, or Mixed, as well as a skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Senior (70+). For those over 70, participation in the Senior category is OPTIONAL. You are able to participate in whichever category you choose best fits YOUR individual skill level. Additional information on skill levels follow. UPDATE 4/16/24: Due to lack of sign-ups, we no longer have a category for MEN's BEGINNERS or MIXED ADVANCED. If you have any questions about this, please call the office at 757-229-3535. Thank you for your understanding.
Please note that you CAN play in up to two different categories. For example, if you are an Intermediate male and would like to play in both Mixed (with a female) category AND Men's category, you may. You will be prompted to make this addition in the add-on section during registration, where you will select your additional category and give your partner's name. This will add the second registration fee onto your total. If you have questions, please contact Caroline Johnson at caroline.johnson@thearcgw.org or 757-229-3535.
*If you would prefer to sign up with a paper copy of registration OR would prefer to pay with cash or check, please contact The Arc office at 757-229-3535.

When registering, you will be prompted to either create or join a team. If you are the first team member to register, you will click "Create." Teams will be two people and should consist of either a team name or the pair's given names (eg "The Picklers" or "John and Ted"). When the second team member registers, they will choose to join a team, find your team name, and join that team.
