Description
This is a Healthy Heart! Healthy Mind Event! Hosted by Colonial Sports at the Meadows
The easy 8K and relaxed 4K run/walk start and finish at the zero mile mark on the Capital trail. The 8K starts at 10 Am and it is a chip-timed race. All 8K participants receive a custom Long-sleeve race t and the first 300 who sign up and finish the run/walk receive a die Cast finisher medal. Participants run on the beautiful Capital Trail with gorgeous scenery from miles 2-4. Race awards will be given to Top three men and women overall, top three males and females in age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over, Top three males and females in the competitive Walk.
The relaxed 4K Run/ walk starts at 9:55 AM and it is a chip timed race. All participants receive a custom long sleeve race t and the first 200 receive a custom finisher medal.
Participants run on the service Rd. that parallels Jamestown Rd heading to a turn around on Landfall and back to the finish.
Race Awards will be given to Top three male and female overall and top three male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19,
20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,70-74, 75 and over. Top three male and female competitive walkers.
A portion of these proceeds will benefit the Williamsburg Salvation Army.
All 8K and 4K finishers receive a hot slice of pizza, grab n go-bag, and those of legal drinking age a complimentary Alewerks Beer.
DJ Dreux provides after-race music and entertainment.
All 8K and 4K participants are asked to donate a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. Please drop items off at the store or at the race.

8K Course Map
This course is new for 2023. The start on the Virginia Capital Trail at the zero Mile mark. After the start runners take a left and cross Jamestown Rd at the pedestrian crossing, follow the Capital Trail across the long bridge and take a right heading toward Jamestown High School Heading to a TA, on this section runners need to stay on their left) Approach the TA from the left and go around the cone staying on your left, run to and take a left turn at the entrance to the Greensprings Trail, Follow the Greensprings Trail to the Powhatan trail and take a right, Follow the Powhatan Trail to the Capital Trail and take a left and then back to Jamestown Rd, cross Jamestown Rd and take a right on the Jamestown Service Rd and run to the finish line.

4K Course Map
This is a new 4K course for 2023. Runners start and Finish at the zero mile Mark on the Virginia Capital Trail. From the start run to Landfall Dr. take a right onto landfall Dr. and run to a TA, at the TA go around the cone and head back to the Jamestown service Rd, left onto the service Rd and straight back to the finish.
Very easy and stroller friendly course!
