¡Hola! 

I hope this email finds you well. I am doing great, but I need your help. 

I have an awesome opportunity to study in Cádiz, Spain, for five weeks this summer to enhance my Spanish-speaking abilities and take classes toward my Hispanic Studies minor. All of this will contribute to my goal of becoming a foreign service officer serving the U.S. abroad. Cool, right?

This total-immersion experience at the University of Cádiz comes with a price tag—$7,500 to be exact. Good news is that I received a $1,500 scholarship toward the program and I’m contributing $2,000 of my savings. That still leaves $4,000. I am searching for a part-time job to cover some of this remaining cost. For the rest, I’ve decided I’m going to make a run for it! 

I’m asking you to sponsor my running throughout the semester at $0.50 or $1 per mile. Over the 14 weeks of the semester, I intend to run 6-9 miles per week. This would be approximately 84 to126 miles for the semester.
