Description
The Jamestown Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile Course commemorating the beginning of America. The race starts and finishes in the vicinity of the Amblers House (Vermillion Building) 2205 Jamestown Rd 23185. The Jamestown Half Marathon follows a uniquely American course, winding through
Jamestown Settlement, circling Jamestown Island, and traversing the Greensprings and Virginia Capital Trail. This flat, scenic course is where America began. Your every footfall will echo with the steps of those that came before and give you the chance to make your own history.
Perks: All runners and walkers receive a beautiful custom race T, custom finisher medal ( participants must finish to receive), Swag Bag, After race refreshments and complimentary beer ( must be 21 or older to receive). Dj and music for entertainment. .
The Jamestown Half Marathon run is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix and a Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix race. The Jamestown Half Marathon Competitive Walk is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix and a Hampton Roads Race Walking Super Grand Prix.
Awards are given to:
Half Marathon: the Top 3 male and female overall, top three male and female Masters, Top three male and female Grand Masters, the top three male and female in the following age groups; 15 and under, 16-19, and then 5 yr age groups starting at 20-24 through 80 and over. Top three male and female in the Competitive Walk
5K: Top three male and female overall, top three male and female Masters, Top three male and female Grand Masters, top three male and female in the following age groups; 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12,13 -15, 16-19, and then 5 yr age groups starting at 20-24 through 80 and over. Top three male and female in the Competitive Walk.
Discovery Mile: Non timed fun event.

Jamestown Half Marathon Course map
The Jamestown Half Marathon starts in front of the Amblers House, 2205 Jamestown Rd, from the start runners/walkers will cross Jamestown Rd. and enter Jamestown Settlement, all will run/walk around the Indian Village, turn left at the dock and run through the fort and follow an improved path out of the Settlement, ( it is a little over 1/2 mile from the start to the Settlement exit) once through the settlement gate you will run to the far edge of the parking lot and to the main Settlement entrance, take a right and proceed around the State Flags, take a right heading to the parkway, Right on to the path leading to the Glass house, at the end of that path take a slight left and merge onto the parkway, run the entire Jamestown island loop and return to the Glass House entrance and take a slight left to get on the Glass House walking path, at the end of the path you will be directed to take a slight right and get back on the parkway heading to the start of the Capital Trail, from the parkway take a right onto the Service Rd ( this runs parallel to Jamestown Rd and it is where the Capital Trail starts) run about 600 ft and take a left crossing Jamestown Rd., follow the Capital Trail and take a right onto Powhatan trail, a left onto Greensprings Trail, a left onto Swamp Bridge Trail and a left on the Capital Trail Bridge, run on the Capital Trail to the intersection of 4H Club and Greensprings Rd, cross to the right hand side of Greensprings Rd., follow Greensprings Rd to a gate on the right hand side, take a right at the gate and follow that Road to the finish. The finish is near the Amblers house.

Parking
All participants are asked to park in the overflow parking lot on the left hand side as you turn right from Jamestown Rd to enter the Jamestown Beach parking area.

Virginia Company 5K
The Virginia Company 5K Starts in front of the Amblers House at 2205 Jamestown Rd Williamsburg, VA 23185. Runners run down the driveway towards
Jamestown Rd, cross Jamestown RD heading to the entrance to the Jamestown Settlement, enter Jamestown Settlement and turn right on the walking Path, run around the Indian Village, run towards the dock and turn left on the pathway before the dock and head towards the Jamestown Fort entrance, run through the Fort and out back gate turning left onto the walking path, follow this path to the walking patio running alongside the Jamestown building, run the length of this section, turn left and continue to the end and turn left onto the walking path, follow this path to the exit gate, take a right at the gate, run to upper section of the parking lot and take a right, run the full length of the parking lot and take a right, run to the main entrance road and take a right heading towards the State Flags, run around the Flags keeping them on your left shoulder, this bring you back to the main entrance Rd, head to the main entrance and cross the Parkway Rd to the right hand side, turn left and head to Jamestown Rd, before Jamestown Rd. turn right onto the Virginia Capital Trail, head to the Jamestown Rd crossing, Cross Jamestown Rd and continue on the Capital Trail heading to 4H Rd, Cross 4H road and continue on the Capital Trail to a turn around cone, Go around the cone and head back to 4H Rd. at 4H take a slight right onto Greensprings Rd. cross to the right side and heading towards Jamestown Rd. run about 500 Ft. turn right at the entrance gate leading to the Old Jamestown Camp Grounds, follow this RD to a fork in the road and take the left fork and continue to the Ticket Booth cross in front of the ticket booth and through the next gate and onto the Finish line near the Amblers house.
