Description
Our Run for the Bacon 5K will be taking place on Saturday, June 11th. This “out and back” course runs throughout the Eastern State Hospital grounds and promises to be a fun fitness event for the whole family. This is a Colonial Road Runners’ Grand Prix Event.
The event is open to all and includes a 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run/walk. Top finishers of the 5K run/walk of each age group will receive a medal. All participants of the fun run/walk will receive a finisher’s ribbon. A bacon costume contest, activities, and bacon goodies will be provided throughout the morning.
Registration for this event will be taken online or by mail to Bacon Street Youth and Family Services, 247 McLaws Circle, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
Pre-registered packet pickup will be Thursday June 9th and Friday June 10th at the Bacon Street Youth and Family Services office.
All proceeds from this race will go to benefit the programs and services of Bacon Street Youth and Family Services. Bacon Street provides family-focused, evidence-based services for youth who may be experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs, suffering from co-occurring disorders, or who are at high risk for such problems.
