18th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run/Walk

18th Annual Sleighbell 5K Run   Saturday, December 12th 2026  At: Jamestown High School 3751 John Tyler Highway Williamsburg, VA 23188. The course  utilizes the Virginia Capital Trail, Powhatan Creek Trail and the Greensprings Trail.   This is a  5K Run  and a Competitive 5K Walk. The course is not currently USATF Certified.  This race is a 2026 Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix race.

 A virtual Sleighbell 5K is available for those who cannot make it on race day. Virtual participants receive a race T and finisher medal.  Packets can be picked up on Dec. 13th at Colonial Sports or mailed for a $9.00 fee. 

A portion of  proceeds from the Sleighbell 5K Will benefit area Youth in after school activities provided by the WJCC School Health Initiative Program (S.H.I.P.). This event raises funds to get students out and moving.  Donations will go to From His Hands! A consortium of 13 local churches whose mission is to feed the homeless. 

Race T and size guaranteed to those registered by 12/1/265! All others are first come first served.

Two Special Events this year:
1.  Ugly sweater.  Bring your ugliest sweater to the race and compete for a special prize.  Ugly Sweater contest at 11:15 AM
2. Non perishable food donation. Bring canned goods, pasta etc.  Food will go to From His Hands

Race Registration fees start at $35.00 on 9/1/26 and go up each month.

Top 3 Men and Women in 5K Run for the following age groups:  8 and under; 9-10, 11-13; 14-15; 16-19
                                                                                                       five year increments 20-24 to 80 and Over.
Special Prize - "Middle of the Pack" Male and Female

Finishing Medals for all Finishers while they last.
