Description

This year is the 36th annual Loudoun Street Mile

RACE FORMAT: The race will be run in waves of approximately 50 runners each. The non-competitive Fitness Walk will go off at 8:00. That will be followed by the Top 50 men (A-Wave) at 8:30, then the Top 50 women (B-Wave) at 8:40 The next wave (C-Wave) will be the next fastest times. We will continue to fill the waves based on entry time. The last few waves will be random to allow families to run together. See full schedule below. Each wave will start 10 minutes after the preceding wave. The Tot Trot will follow the final mile wave.

There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION! You must enter the race by 5:00 PM on Sunday May 28th in order to compete. This will allow us time to organize the waves.

Awards ceremony will follow the Tot Trot and be held on the steps of the Old Town Courthouse.

We will not have race packets, only bib numbers and shirts (if purchased). If at all possible, please pick up your bib (and shirt) at Runners' Retreat starting Wed. May 24th. If you register on-line, allow 24 hours to pick up your bib. On race day, we will begin pick-up AT THE STORE at 6:30AM. Allow enough time to arrive at the starting line.

Your bib number will indicate your wave. The letter preceding the number will be your wave. For example, if your number is E123 you will be in Wave E. Please try to run in your assigned wave. However, if you miss your wave run in the next one. You will still receive an accurate time.

When you arrive at the start area, line up with your wave. The A-wave will line up on the starting line and other waves will be staggered south on Loudoun Street and along Commerce Ave. As one wave begins the remaining waves will move up closer to the starting line.

There will be bottled water at the starting line. There will also be porta-potties at the start.
