Heroes on the River Holiday 5K Run & Walk

WHEN: Saturday, December 8, 2018, starting at 9:30 AM. Registration is from 8:00-9:15 AM. This is our first annual Heroes on the River race! Celebrate with us and support our local combat veteran community. 

WHERE: Registration is at Kernstown Battlefield - 610 Battle Park Drive, Winchester, VA 22601. Follow signs to table. 

The race is for all interested runners, joggers, and walkers.

NOTE: Chip timing by Shenandoah Valley Runners.

Prizes for the First, Second, and Third Place Finishers Overall, and First, Second, and Third Place Prizes for each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29,30-39,40-49,50-59,60-69,70-79, 80 and over. 

Additional random prizes from local merchants are also featured. 

Dogs, strollers and baby joggers, and headphones are prohibited on the course. 

ENTRY FEES:

$30.00 - Online registration until December 7, 2018; $27.00 Pre-registration for SVR members

$30.00 - Race day registration for all 

Long-sleeve t-shirts are included in registration fee. We have already ordered a set quantity of t-shirts in various sizes. Please e-mail HeroesOnTheRiverVA@gmail.com  to claim your shirt before they run out. T-shirts as supply lasts on race day. 

This event is rain or shine, and is non-refundable.

100% of all proceeds will directly benefit the mission of Heroes on the River which is to provide recreational activities and social outings for combat veterans.
