The weekend of May 15th we will be back at it in the Shenandoah mountains telling pediatric cancer to take a hike! This year I will be in the volunteer role, helping almost 80 hikers make it through the 21 mile hike. My Goal is still to raise $5000 in Jack's name in the fight against pediatric cancer!!
The Run for Jack Virtual 5k is all about getting moving while helping to fund life saving research. Jack's mantra during his fight against osteosarcoma was "Movimiento es vida" which means movement is life. During a time when we all are feeling a little trapped, getting out and moving will give us all something positive to focus on! So get on out there and run, jog, walk, run/walk, skip.... whatever you want to get to the 5k mark! There is also a 1 mile fun walk option for those who want to participate but don't want to do the full 5k!
You will have a chance to win some cool prizes and you will be doing something healthy for yourself while doing good in the world!! It's a win-win!!
