The Millstone Madness Snowshoe Race for 2026 is officially rescheduled until Saturday, February 14, 2026. We apologize for the inconvenience however the SNOWSHOEING will go on... one week later. On a positive note the long range forecast for Valentine's Day is STEAMY! After the recent chilly temperatures the predicted 20-30 degree temperatures will feel HOT! Hopefully this gives you another week of preparing for the fun. If you have been waiting to register, please do!! If you have already registered, please see your options below.

Description
Snowshoeing is fun, running is fun, put them together and it's MAD FUN!
Millstone Madness is an approximately 3 mile snowshoe race on the Millstone Trails Network in Websterville, VT. The course travels around old granite quarries on both single and double track trails. Total elevation approximately 400ft. Snowshoes are required.
Race start is 10am. There will be a warming fire before and after the event. Please plan accordingly for the elements. Snowshoes are required however they do not need to be "racing snowshoes". Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, age group finishers. As well there will be participant raffles and style shout outs! Come for the challenge but stay for the fun. Awards ceremony planned to be at 11:15 am.
There will be a cutoff for racers 2:00 hours, official timing cutoff at 1:30 hours. If you have concerns please email the race director at jacq.jancaitis@gmail.com. Race walking with snowshoeing is allowed/encouraged. Let us help you have a great time while competing in something that might be new.
