Course Details
Important notes regarding the course and gps track:
1) If you want to view it via your phone it is MUCH easier if you download the CalTopo App. Otherwise viewing it via desktop *should* make it easy as well. You'll have to scroll the map over the general area of GPRA to see the track.
2) The course will be marked! Please download this GPX file from CalTopo to upload to your phone/watch/navigation device in the event of poor visibility on race day.
* Also the topo version seems to be the best depiction.
3) We will be cutting off Bald Mountain Ridge, East Peak and side-hilling that section.
4) The 2026 finish line is new!! We will be ending at the Rae Wallace trail just off the lower Independence Mine parking lot (below the restrooms.) Follow signage and cones to the finish line chute.
5) We strongly encourage you to become familiar with the route and to test the course out to ensure you are comfortable with the terrain prior to race day!
