What is Natural Lands?

Natural Lands is a non-profit organization that saves open space, cares for nature, and connects people to the outdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. We’ve been at it since the early 1950s and, today, nearly five million people live within five miles of lands under our permanent protection.

team DIRT vs. team ASPHALT... huh?
This is just for fun! Select whichever team you would like to be a part of. If road running is your thing, then choose Team ASPHALT. If you love trail running, choose Team DIRT. Or, if you have always wanted to give something else a try, then step out of your comfort zone and register for the opposite team. Although it's not required, we encourage you to run, walk, or hike the surface you chose when registering.
Can I change my distance or team after I've registered?

Do I have to time myself?
No. You can just do this for the adventure and, of course, to support Natural Lands. We do ask that you visit the results page to let us know you've completed your chosen distance. After all, what fun would it be if we didn't congratulate you on your accomplishments?
Do I have to use one of the tracking apps?
Not if you're just participating for fun. If you're submitting times, then we encourage you to use an app. There are lots of free apps out there.
Can I purchase merchandise without registering?
Yes! Please visit our store, select the items you wish to purchase, and then click continue to confirm shipping address and to enter payment information.
When will I receive my swag?
Shipping times are dependent upon items purchased - please see below. We ask for your patience with us and the post office.
- Race t-shirts are being specially ordered. Registrations received before September 25th will receive t-shirts the week of Oct.12th. Registrations received after Sept. 25th, will receive shirts 2-3 weeks after the race.
- Race medals and stickers will be shipped with race shirts.
- Use Your Outdoor Voice t-shirts purchased in the store will begin shipping within 2 weeks of purchasing.
- Swag earned through fundraising, donations, and referrals will begin shipping the week of Oct. 19th.
