Frequently Asked Questions

1) How do I register? Link to the registration page
 
2) What time does the race start?   10 am 
 
3) Are strollers welcome? Strollers and jog strollers are permitted on both 5K run and 1 mile walk! The more the merrier!  Children under 3 are free. There is a local playground at the site of the event!
 
4) Are there kid pricing- Yes! Ages 4- 18 are only $ 15 per person. Invite your friends and children to join a memorable event!
 
5) Are bikes allowed? Yes, be sure to wear your helmets!
 
6) Is this event chipped or timed? This event is not timed, and we would like to have all individuals to be included without feeling pressured. We want to take this time during the run/walk to remember those who have lost their lives and pray for an end to suicide awareness.
 
7) Where do the proceeds go?  All proceeds will benefit H.O.O.A.H. WI and support their mission to eliminate veteran suicide with a proactive approach to overall wellness to veterans, service members, and their support systems. 
 
8) Where is the route for the 5k run and 1 mile walk? Route map will be posted by April 1. 
 
9) Am I able to donate more? Yes, during registration, you have the option to donate in addition to your sign-up fee. You may also scan the QR code and/or donate on the day of the event. 
 
10) Are pets allowed? Yes, please be sure to keep animals on a leash- Will need to provide your own poop bags.
 
11) Is this race a run or a walk?  Participants are allowed to run or walk or run AND walk! 
 
12) Is there a time limit? Not necessarily. The event itself will end shortly after 12. 
 
13) What is the surface of the course? The course is on concrete roads and sidewalks, fairly flat route. 
 
14) Are there any refunds for injury or change in plans for participants?  There are not refunds if one is not able to attend the event after registrations. Though, keep in mind, your contributions are going directly to help our veterans and their mental health!
