Assist race organizers in setting up the start/finish area. Race equipment will arrive by truck and these volunteers will be asked to do some lifting to unload the truck and set up equipment.

Provide general assistance at the finish line during the race. Duties may include assisting the race timer, directing finishers to post-race activities, etc.

Details

Assist race organizers in breaking down the start/finish area after the race. These volunteers will be asked to do some lifting to break down equipment and load it into a truck. Assistance taking equipment back to storage unit is highly appreciated!

Water stop at 1.5/4.92 miles (Edgewood Blvd)

Details

The volunteer shift starts before runners are expected. Please arrive on time to set up the water stop before runners pass this location. Pass out the water to runners and then break down the water stop at the end of the shift.
This location will be utilized twice by participants and is located on Edgewood Blvd between Palmetto St and Roseland Dr.

Water stop at 3.7 miles (Oxmoor Rd) High Priority

Details

Mile 3.70 - This location is on Oxmoor Rd between Theda St and Morris Blvd.
This water stop will get hit twice by the runners. The volunteer shift starts before runners are expected. Please arrive on time to set up the water stop before runners pass this location. Volunteers will pass out water and sports drink to runners and then break down the water stop at the end of the shift.

General race day help Low Priority

Details

This general help needed spot is to assist the race directors and BTC staff in set up, finish line, awards distribution, and clean up needs as they arise.
Someone with experience assisting in race set up would be great; Lifting and moving around a good deal will be required! Clean up and return of gear to storage unit in the truck also needed.

Course marshal (Edgewood Blvd - mile 2.68) High Priority

Details

This position entails instructing runners in the right directions:
Intersection of Edgewood Blvd and Roseland Dr. As runners head out on the course on Edgewood Blvd, they continue straight through the intersection at Roseland. As runners complete the outer loop of the course and approach this intersection from Roseland Dr, they take a left on Edgewood Blvd to begin heading back toward the finish line.
